| Abstract: | This article outlines the introduction of photography into China during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican period and its impact on traditional patterns of visual experiences,revealing the historical necessity of developing modern civic culture and the rationality in meeting human nature by means of the secular sensibility.The article is aimed at providing theoretical support for the development of the traditional Chinese visual arts and the modern Chinese visual culture. |
