概念转喻和ICM在名名复合词创建中的作用

名名（N1和N2）复合词的构建是高度活跃的语言现象。概念转喻作为认知过程中最为基本的一部分,在复合词的创建中起到了至关重要的作用。由概念转喻激活的向心名名复合词,语义更为清晰、形象,而由概念转喻激活的离心名名复合词往往具有语义不透明的特征,被认为是不可分析的或没有特定的构词模式。文章试图从概念转喻和理想认识模式（ICM）理论证实后者的构词具有自成一体的规则性、系统性和可分析性。以转喻为基础的名名复合词大致可分为五大类：N1或N2为转喻的复合词、N1和N2同为转喻的复合词、整体为转喻的复合词及N1和N2之间的关系为转喻的复合词。

The Role of Conceptual Metonymy and ICM in the Creation of Noun-Noun Compounds

Noun-noun compounds are a highly intriguing set of linguistic phenomenon.Conceptual metonymy,as the most basic part in the process of cognition,plays a critical role in producing this type of compounds.Conceptual metonymy-activating endocentric compounds have much clearer semantic meanings while metonymy-activating exocentric compounds are generally regarded as semantically opaque with no analyzability or regular word-formation patterns.This paper,with conceptual metonymy theory and ICM as its theoretical support,based on the analysis of five categories of metonymy-based noun-noun compounds,verifies that the latter ones are also combined with regularity and systematicity,and thus are analyzable and interpretable.
