| 摘 要： | 本文分析了“燮”字的甲骨文形体,其形体构成为从又,从,从四火的会意字。“燮”字的形体义为手持刀具并把它置于火中之状,即人在锻造刀具时所进行的热处理工艺。

| Abstract: | This paper analyses the shape of Xie reflected in the ancient Chinese character carved on tortoise shells and animal bones and finds that the form meaning is that a hand takes a tool and puts it into fire,that is to say,people are doing heat treatment in the course of making tools. |
