社会学研究的新领域：汉字社会学

语言和文字是一个几乎被社会学遗忘的角落，但是，语言和文字毕竟是人类社会的两种最重要的社会现象。语言维系社会的存在，文字则是文化的基础，并把人类社会带入一个文明的时代。汉字是当今世界上独一的表意文字体系，也是历史最长、最具传承一贯性、影响最为深远的古老文字体系，研究汉字文化圈是社会发展的需要。

Hanzi Sociology:A Frontier in Sociological Studies

Speech and writing are two of the most important social phenomen,but forgotten sociologically. Speech renders the survival of a human society possible,while Writing forms the basis of a culture. Together they bring human beings into an era of civilization. Chinese writing is one of the ideographic writing systems in the world. As one of the oldest writing systems,it has the longest history that is the most inheritable and consistent. Studying the cultural cycle of Han zi (Chinese characters) will fosten cooperations among Asian countries and promote Asian civilization.
