Some Special Structures of English Analogy and Their Translation

Based on the new definition that analogy is basically a comparison of two relation statements through which the resemblance of two relations is denoted as well as the application of alternative relational expression of the basic structure of analogy, this article gives an analysis of some special structures of analogy, the relationship between analogy, figures of speech and comparison, and it also discusses how to translate some sentences of analogy with special structures. It reveals, from an aspect, the actual fact that the constitution of analogy depends on simile and metaphor.
