《怀风藻》：日本汉诗发轫的标志

作为日本最早的汉诗总集，《怀风藻》标志着日本汉诗的发轫。它在编次方面有着自己的鲜明特色。但侍宴应诏之作的连篇累牍，却表明当时的汉诗创作在很大程度上出于娱情遣兴的需要。相形之下，模山范水和言志抒怀之作似乎乏善可陈。至于其艺术形式，则带有汉诗发轫期的不可避免的稚拙。尽管如此，它仍然不失为我们观照与考察日本汉诗的基点。

Huaifengzao, a Sign of the Beginning of Chinees Poetry's Development in Japan

As the earliest collection of Chinses poetry in Japan,Huaifengzao,with a distinct feature in its order of arrangement,represents the beginning of Chinses poetry creation in that country.The overflow of poems written for magnificent feasts or for praising the king indicates the fact that entertainment is the main function or motivation of these poems at that time.Comparatively,poems that depict beautiful mountains and rivers or convey personal ideals have little artistic value.As to the artistic forms,most of which seem childish and clumsy as an unavoidable character in the initial period of Chinses poetry.Nevertheless,the collection is still a starting point to contemplate and study Chinses poetry in Japan.
