从西南地区少数民族民间传说看铜鼓的厌胜功能

在我国西南少数民族群众中广泛流传着铜鼓的传说。在一些铜鼓传说中,铜鼓能够威伏毒蛇猛兽并战败作为旱涝之灾等自然力化身的各种妖魔。据此,本人认为,在古代社会,铜鼓除具有以往学者们所认为的各种功用外,还可能曾被作为镇物运用于厌胜仪式,以禳除各种自然灾害。
