| 摘 要： | 本文从文化定型的概念和建立文化定型的弊端入手,指出从事文化比较的学者和外语教学的教师面临的矛盾：要促进理解和交流,就要概括文化差异,而文化差异的定型又可能妨碍人类各族之间的沟通。本文就如何解决这一矛盾提出了看法和建议。

| Abstract: | This paper points out a conflict confronted by the scholars and teachers who engage in the study of cultural comparison: cultural difference must be generalized in order to promote understanding and communication; while it is possible that the communication might be hindered because of stereotype. Some opinions on this conflict are presented in this paper. |
