论道清铁路对沿线社会经济的影响

道清铁路是英商福公司为了便于对河南省煤炭资源的掠夺而修筑的,但铁路出现之后,对沿线居民的社会经济生活产生了很大的影响。主要表现在:由于交通状况的改变而引起的农产品的商品化和新式工业的涌现,改变了当地居民自给自足的的自然经济和生活状态,也引起了当地经济结构的改变;交通邮政事业的发展,则有效地改变了消息闭塞的状况,加强了人际间的沟通与联系,也使资金、信息的流通更加便利和可靠;铁路的出现也引起了人们的思想观念的解放。这些变化表明铁路这种当时的新生事物成为促进当地居民的社会经济生活由传统向近代变迁的重要因素。

The effects of Dao - qing Railway on the social and economical lives of people along the railway
