| Abstract: | Idioms are not only an important part but also the cream of a language. They are very expressive. Idioms are fixed phrases and short sentences formed in the usage of a language over a long period of time. Human activities are the main sources of English idioms. To know the sources of the idioms is very conducive to correct understanding and usage of English idioms. |
