清代孙梅《四六丛话》的骈文训诂

On the Paraphrase and Annotation of Pianwen Made by Sunmei of the Qing Dynasty in the Current Language in His On Pianwen

Pianwen, as an ancient Chinese prose ptyle which consists of ornate rhythmical parallel sentences, each of which has four or six Chinese characters, rose in the Han Dynasty and declined in the mid-period of the Tang dynasty. In the Qing dynasty the academic circle began to shift its focus from the study of the Song dynasty to that of the Han dynasty. In this course the Qing scholors＇ academic style began to shift from indulging in shallowness and mystery to advocating profundity and truth. In such a background the theoretical study on Pianwen began to transform deeply from shallowness and mystery to profundity and truth, too. One of the prooves is that the science of paraphrasing and annotating ancient texts in a current language was introduced into the Pianwen research, thus forming a science of paraphrasing and annotating the texts written in Pianwen in a current language. The Pianwen research conducted by Sunmei of the Qing dynasty made the most outstanding achievements for he inherited the practical spirit of Wenxindiaolong and introduced the science of paraphrasing and annotating ancient texts in the current language, which had derived from Sinology, into the Pianwen reseach, thus forming a science of paraphrasing and annotating ancient texts in a current language, realizing people＇s shift of the theories and concepts on the Pianwen research from shallowness and mystery to profoudity and truth and creating a new situation for the Pianwen theories, where the fundamental value and significance of Sun＇s paraphrasing and annotating the Pianwen works in the current language in his On Pianwen lies.
