阮元的经解

阮元是乾嘉学派最后一个重镇。通过对儒家经典中若干基本概念的梳理和阐释，以恢复原儒的思想、强化圣贤之道修已治人的实践性和现实性品格，是阮元经解的重要特色。阮元的努力对系统地清理思想史上的材料、凸显和发挥原始儒学中不为后人所注意的某些方面，颇有裨益，其得失、经验对我们也有借鉴意义。

On Ruan Yuan's Interpretations of the Classics

Ruan Yuan, the last important scholar of the Oian-Jia school in the Qing Dynasty, tried to restore the thought of the original confucian school and strengthen the practical and realis tic qualities of the sages' and virtuous men' doctrine that one can not rectify others before one cultivates his own moral character by sorting out and interpreting some basic concepts of Confucian classics. This is characterized by Ruan Yuan's interpretations of Confucian clas sics. His efforts in systematically sorting out materials related to the thought history, in giving prominence to and elaborately expounding of the aspects neglected by later scholars are of considerable benefit to us. And his gains and loss and experiences afford us lessons and merit our attention.
