论书法“势”的美学内涵

On the Aesthetic Connotation of Calligraphic Momention

Starting with the aesthetic view of Su Shi, this thesis mainly elaborates on the aesthetic connotation of calligraphic momentum reflected in calligraphic theory and artistic creation, which is of significance and value for the external beauty of form and internal beauty of calligraphic art. The gists are as follows： 1. The aesthetic limits of ＂momentum ＂ made by calligraphic critics in ancient times; the display and expressive features of ＂momentum＂ in different books written by famous maestros in ancient times; and the norms followed by calligraphers when they decided on ＂momentum＂. 2. Deepening the interpretation of the aesthetic connotation of ＂momentum ＂ by means of the different elaborations made by many theoretician at all times and in all countries. 3. The misunderstanding of ＂momentum ＂ in contemporary calligraphy, the causes accounting for it and the way of correcting it. 4. Calligraphers are supposed to get to know and have a good command of the aesthetic connotation of calligraphic ＂momentum＂, making effort in selfimprovement comprehensively so as to adopt good advice from all quarters to ultimately make outstanding contribution to the times.
