QU Qiu-bai has double identities of politician and scholar, and news editing work is part of his revolutionary cause. In his short life, QU founded, participated and edited series of progressive party organ and party＇s journal such as New Society, Guide Weekly, New Youth, Bloodshed Daily, Red China, etc. Years of news editing practice helped him have rich editing experience and precious thoughts, which can be summarized as following： enhancing clear editing ideas and guidelines; adhering to the authenticity principle; advocating a style of popularization, linking theory with practice, keeping close to the people, avoiding doctrinarism; running a newspaper with the support of the general and taking the mass line, while focusing on the cultivation of editing teams from workers, peasants and soldiers.
