| Abstract: | There appeared in ancient China a distinguished philosophy of law. The idea of God's will, the idea of limitation, the theory of human nature and the thoughts of Confucian School posed by DONG Zhong?shu explored such significant issues of philosophy of law as the origin and the values of law. The idea of God's will restrained emperor's powers and limited the law. The idea of limitation designated the limits of power; the theory of Confucian School established the guiding principles and the goal of ideal for the law. |
