摘    要:“五四”时期以陈独秀、胡适为代表的新文化先锋向旧戏发起了猛烈的攻击与批判,这种批判是服从于文化批判的需要的,它的出发点是为创造新剧扫清前进道路上的障碍,目的在于对大众进行启蒙。他们反对旧戏的毫无内容和思想落后、迷信、反动,抨击它只重形式美且形式本身又严重脱离生活的缺陷。他们用写实的西方话剧的标准审视、要求写意的中国戏曲,有偏执之处。

Abstract:In the May Fourth Movement,Chen Duxiu and Hu Shi,as pioneers in the new culture,attack and criticize the old opera fiercely.The critique is submitted to the need of the cultural criticism,and its starting point is to pave the way for the overcoming of the obstacle in order to create the new opera,so as to enlighten the mass.They counter the non-content,old thoughts,superstition and counter tides in the old opera,and criticize its tendency of formal beauty while its form itself separates highly from the ordinary life.The pioneers' sharp argument and courage to counter tradition is highly admired.It is wrong to examine the writing meaning Chinese opera with the writing reality western drama,while some opponents' prejudicial attitude in the argument is a demerit.
