A Brief Account of the Ligurians along the Mediterranean Coast in Ancient Times

The Ligurians had been active along the north coast of Mediterranean in ancient times.As an ancient ethnic group in Europe,the Ligurians included many tribes,associated with various ethnic groups around Mediterranean in varying degrees,and left their own unique imprint on the history of the region.There are different perceptions about the ethnic background of the Ligurians and their language among the ancient historical academics.In fact,these interpretations should be viewed dynamically due to the changes in the evolution of the Ligurians.Only by the investigation of the remote past,can we find their pre-Indo-European background firstly and the Indo-European influences afterwards.
