芮国地望与秦的"饮马于河"

韩城梁带村芮国墓地的发现明确了春秋初芮国的地望，今陕西韩城的中部往北一直到龙门山属于芮国，与芮国关系密切的梁国在韩城南部到合阳一带。芮国、梁国地区是沟通黄河两岸的重要渡口的所在。秦迁都雍城后，明确其战略思想是“饮马于河”，目标是争夺东进的渡口和河西地区，并最终灭了芮国和梁国，但芮、梁旧地随后又被晋国占领。在以后漫长的时期，秦、晋双方围绕东进的渡口和河西地区反复争夺。秦国在“饮马于河”的战略思想指导下融入了列国争霸形势之中，成为霸主强国，对当时的政治格局有重要影响。
