Reviewing the Non-benchmark Estimates for PPP

The International Comparison Program (ICP) around the world is implemented about once every 5 or 6 years as survey benchmark. In order to obtain complete time series of PPP data, the international organizations use many methods to estimate the non-benchmark PPP, such as the method of global extrapolation, the method extrapolated by GDP main aggregates, rolling benchmark approach and reduced information approach. This paper reviews these estimate methods and results in details.
