郑振铎俗文学研究的民间意识

在20世纪初逐步建立的民间文学和俗文学研究，其发展不但为学术界带来一门新学科，同时见证了时代思潮的起伏。郑振铎是胡适、周作人、刘半农之后极为重要的一位俗文学研究者，大半生贡献于有关材料的搜集、整理，其《中国俗文学史》更标志着这门学科的建立。此书不单单是一部学术专著，而且充满时代思潮的痕迹，构成了它的独特风貌。今天，我们仍然能够透过它，窥见胡适、周作人等前辈关注民间文学、俗文学的用心；也能隐约听见三十年代一些论争的回声，还有著者个人的学养和审美观、强烈的爱国情怀，凡此种种，都影响郑振铎在写史过程中的取舍与褒贬，既推动他在俗文学研究上作出重大贡献。也制约他作为俗文学史家的识见。

In early 20th century, forerunners in the New Culture Movement helped to build the subject so-called Folklore Literature or Popular Literature, which is not only a new branch of study, but also the witness of current thoughts at that time. Zhang Zhen Duo, who regarded himself as the heir of those forerunners, was one of the important scholars in the field. He contributed a lot in material collection and related research. His work The History of Chinese Popular Literature signified the establishment of the field. The work is memorable in academic sense. Moreover, it maintains the traits of current thoughts at that time. By examining those traits, we can realize the efforts Mr. Zhang had contributed for the study, and also the insufficient areas.
