《水浒》版本衍变考论

自<水浒>成书600余年来,版本经历了极其复杂的衍变,形成数十个系统.祖本今虽不存,但据现存明代刻本和相关载录,当可推识若干原貌.以后五次重大衍变,又同文学自身发展和书商的商业行为交织在一起,因而造成回数、情节、语言乃至主题上很大差异.理清<水浒>版本源流,对水浒学的发展乃至中国小说史研究的深化都是必要的.

A Textual Research on the Edition Evolution of All Men Are Brothers

Since All Men Are Brothers came out six hundred years ago, its edition has undergone a complicated process of evolution, yielding dozens of versions. Although the original edition of the book is no longer in existence, inferences about its original appearances can still be made on the basis of the existing block printed editions of the Ming Dynasty and some related records. The five major changes thereafter are interwoven with the development of literature proper and the commercial activities of the book traders, resulting in great difference in chapter division, plot, language and even theme. The ascertainment of the origin and development of All Men Are Brothers is necessary both to the development of its studies and to the deepening of the study of Chinese novel history.
