杨儒与中俄交收东三省谈判

1900年帝国主义列强以镇压义和团运动为借口,组成八国联军,发动侵华战争,沙俄趁机派兵侵占了中国东北三省。1901年1月,清政府任命驻俄公使杨儒为全权大臣,与俄进行交收东三省的谈判。谈判从1月4日开始,到4月6日告一段落,历时三个月,共分三个阶段。在整个谈判过程中,杨儒临危不惧,处乱不惊,始终坚持维护国家主权和民族利益,与沙俄政府进行了针锋相对、机智勇敢的斗争,使之侵占中国东北三省的野心最终没有得逞,为中国收回东三省做出了贡献。

Yang Ru and the Negotiation on the Three Northeast Provinces with Russia

In 1900,imperialist powers took as a pretext to suppress Yihetuan Movement and launched the war of aggression against China.At the same time,Russia took military occupation on the three provinces in northeast China.In January 1901,Yang Ru,ambassador to Russia,was appointed minister of negotiation for the settlement of the three provinces with Russia by Qing government.The negotiation,which could be divided into three stages,lasted three months from January 4th to April 6th.Throughout the negotiating process,Yang Ru overcame fear and panic,adhered to safeguarding national sovereignty and national interests from the beginning to the end,made a quick-witting,courageous and unyielding struggle with the government of Russia.Ultimately,he successfully defeated the ambitions of Russian government and made contribution for the recovery of the three provinces.
