| 摘 要： | 介绍了EI对英文摘要的具体要求,给出了缩短摘要的具体方法。指出对作者工作叙述不具体、背景信息和无用信息过多,是我国科技期刊稿件经常出现的问题,并列举实例,说明中英文摘要的修改方法。

| Abstract: | s in Engineering Index and the methods of keeping the abstracts to a minimum length are introduced. Some problems in English abstracts of Chinese scientific journals are presented such as losing the main points of papers and too much background and useless information. Such examples are given to illustrate how to improve the abstracts. |
