| Abstract: | The social service of American regional colleges and universities has a long history. It has various service forms such as the center of establishment and research, the garden of science and technology, the center for bringing forth new ideas, jointly running a school, the transfer of technology, advisory service, community service,etc. It has the following characteristics: extensive service contents, various forms and ways, high levels of organizing enterprises and technological service markets,etc. To realize the mission of our national regional higher education in the 21st century, we should consult and use some practical experiences of the development of American regional higher education and its social service. |
