桑耶寺、吐蕃道与中印佛教文化交流

藏传佛教发展史上占有显著地位的桑耶寺不仅在弘扬藏族文化、培养早期藏地的宗教人才方面起到了应有的作用 ,而且在中印文化交流史上亦占有一席之地。而吐蕃道是沟通中国内地与印度之间经济文化交流的重要通道。本文从桑耶寺的佛经翻译、汉地僧人在桑耶寺的驻足活动、汉文史料中所见汉僧沿吐蕃道往返于中印之间的情况等方面 ,论述了桑耶寺、吐蕃道在促进中印文化交流中的独特作用

Sangye Temple, Tibet Route and Sino Indian Buddhist Exchange

The Sangye Temple, prominent in the development of the Tibetan Buddhism, not only plays its role in promoting Tibetan culture and training the early Tibetan religious personnel but also has its position in the history of Sino Indian cultural exchange. The Tibet Route was an important channel of the economic and cultural exchange between Inland China and India. The present paper has demonstrated the unique role the temple played in the cultural communication between the two countries.
