Transformation of Cultural Media and the Historical Perspective of Literary Criticism

This irreversible process has resulted in the historic change of literature, which in turn has excited debates among literary people holding different attitudes. With a view to the historical environment and the potential orientation the Chinese society is now in, this paper believes that a profound historical perspective is necessary in examining this transformation and the opportunities and challenges it may confront and in making a rational choice conforming to historical development.
