在可以预见的时间里赶上并超过发达资本主义国家,一直是中国共产党执政之后的重要目标.确立这样的目标本身无可厚非,问题在于用多长的时期和用什么样的方式实现赶超.1958年开展的"大跃进"运动,就是一场企图在短时间内实现赶超目标的大实验,结果欲速则不达,留下了深刻的教训.

The"Great Leap"and people's commune are over-heated movements started by the Central Committee of the CPC in the 1950s.The"Great Leap"is a blind development with impractical index in economy,and people's commune is a blind advance with the reform of productive relationship and social system whose contents are the establishment of people's commune and public distribution in the countryside.The two movements disturb the normal economic order,waste human and material resources,and imbalance of economic proportion,thus bringing serious influences on the people's life.This year is the 50th anniversary of the two movements,and we must remember their lessons.Hebei Academic Journal organizes this discussion.Those at present discuss about Chairman Mao's attitude towards impractical production,the way of distribution in people's commune,the target of"Great Leap"and so on to promote a further exploration of the two movements.
