从边缘到中心--对译者地位的思考

传统译学视原文和原作者为绝对权威,从而使译者处于译学研究的边缘地位。当代翻译理论从后现代主义的视角切入研究译者的地位,从而提高了译者以及翻译学科的地位。阐释学、翻译研究学派、女权主义、解构主义等当代主要翻译理论都宣称译者的地位不低于作者,译文并非是附属于原文的派生物。译者是翻译活动中最为关键的主体,是原文的读者、解释者和译文的创造者,是构建译入语文化的重要力量。在翻译实践中,译者既要尊重原文又要充分发挥自己的主体性和创造性才能履行跨语际、跨文化交际的任务。

From the Marginality to the Centeredness--Reflections on Translators' Status

This thesis expounds the issue of translators' status and conducts a survey of traditional and contemporary views on that issue.Traditional translation theories attach too much importance to the source text and hence it marginalizes translators' status.While contemporary translations theories recognize and study translators' crucial roles in the paradigm of post-modernism.Thus translators' humble position is raised to a great extent in contemporary theories such as Hermeneutics,translation studies,feminism and deconstrctionism etc.Translators are indispensable subjects in the dynamic translation process.They act not only as receptors and interpreters of the source text but producers of a target text in a new cultural system.In translation practice translators have to respect the source text and at the same time exert their subjectivity and creativity.Only under this circumstance can they fulfill the task of inter-lingual and inter-cultural communication.
