Problems in Japanese Written Sign System

This paper discusses the problems in Japanese written sign system and proposes a new way for the reform of Japanese writing system. The paper consists of three parts: 1) Definition of written sign system and the present situation of Japanese written sign system; 2)Main factors, problems and solutions of Japanese written sign system; 3) The confusion in the Japanese written sign system is decided by the character of the Japanese language, and how to unite the written sign system will be an important subject facing the Japanese government.
