| 摘 要： | 《佛洛斯河上的磨房》是乔治.艾略特的自传体小说。小说问世以来,不少批评家都指出该小说的结尾过于仓促,无艺术特色可言;有的批评家指出作者旨在借小说结尾为自己不合习俗的婚姻向其兄道歉。现借助诺斯洛普洛普.弗莱的神话原型批评理论来阐述对该小说结尾的不同理解,以说明小说结尾的合理性,并澄清小说作者的真正意图。
