| 摘 要： | 亚里士多德有关"隐喻是天才的标志"的论断使他一直以来成为后来隐喻研究者批评的"靶子",其中里查兹的批评更具权威性和影响力.我们认为关于隐喻是否是天才标志的再探讨的意义不仅仅在于其回答本身,更重要的是在于这一讨论所可能给我们带来的有关理论研究和隐喻应用性研究等方面问题的若干启迪和思考.

| Abstract: | Aristotle's claim that "Metaphor is the mark of genius"has been constantly criticized by the followers who take metaphor as the focus of research.Among the protests,Richards'voice is more authoritative and influential.Based on Mahon's article against Richards' negative comments on Aristotle,the author of the paper has made some further studies on the controversy,which concludes that metaphor is the mark of genius,on the one hand and metaphor is not the mark of genius,on the other.According to the writer,the significance of the discussion lies in the reflections and enlightenments resulting from the very process of the discussion. |
