城市化进程中的农民工贫困研究

中国农村中的剩余劳动力向城市流动,采取了农民工流动的独特方式。进城农民工的贫困起源于农村,他们的户籍身份使得他们只能从事那些从中获取的收入无法让人摆脱贫困的工作,使得他们无权获得专为非农业户籍人口设立的城市最低生活保障,尽管他们的收入水平显著低于当地的城市贫困标准,但在目前阶段,农民工在城市中遭遇到的所谓“城市贫困”处境,应该是农村贫困在城市里的一种特殊表现形式。

The employment of farmer-workers is a unique way of transferring the surplus labor in China's rural areas to the cities.Their poverty has its root in their homeland.Because of their household-register identity which fails to provide them with the city-dwellers' life allowances,their income cannot rid themselves of poverty.At present,the "city poverty" facing the farmer-workers is in fact a special representation of their rural poverty.
