近年来基督教在农村地区盛行,反映了农村精神文化生活的匮乏和公共活动的缺失。更重要的是通过基督教,农民可以得到同信仰群体的物质帮助和精神抚慰,在互助中抵御一定的生活和生存风险。社会保障制度是一种社会成员共同抵御风险的社会制度,农民一定程度上不能得到充分的国家制度性的保护,转而把基督教当作了重要的保护载体。因此,国家要大力提高农民的社会保障水平,做真正的人民保护神。
