| 摘 要： | 古今小说观念历来不同，前者是《汉志》“小说家”的延展，后者多指虚构性的故事。古今小说观念虽然存在着差异性，小说概念却由古沿用至今。这说明，古今小说观念亦有着同一性，它们分别表现在娱乐性、故事性、通俗性、传奇性等四个方面。

| Abstract: | The concepts in the ancient and the present novels are not the same. The former is the extension of the ＂novelist＂ in Record of Art, Culture and History in the Han Dynasty; while the latter often refers to fabled stories. Though there exist differences in views in the ancient and the present novels, the concept of novel has been apphed up to now. This indicates that there exist identical concepts in the two kinds of novel too. They reflect themselves respectively in the four aspects： entertainment, narration, popularity and legend. |
