| Abstract: | During the past two decades, computer technology has greatly influenced foreign language learning. It involves the use of multimedia and the Internet in language learning and is commonly abbreviated as CALL(Computer Assisted Language Learning). Compared with the traditional way of language learning, CALL makes foreign language learning more rewarding. This paper argues that CALL can increase learners' desire to communicate in the target language, help them to build positive attitudes towards language acquisition and make it possible for learners to learn according to their own will and pace; what's more, learning language through CALL also provides learners with more access to real-life samples of the target language. |
