尹世彩与《马启西先生传》

近20年来,国内外学术界从不同视角做了不少关于中国伊斯兰教西道堂及其创始人马启西先生的研究。目前,学术界普遍认为有关西道堂和马启西先生的研究始于1936年范长江先生的《中国的西北角》。笔者经过调查考证,发现早在范长江之前,清末岷州进士尹世彩在其作品《马启西先生传》中就详细叙述了马启西先生的生平,并记录了关于西道堂教派的创建情况。岷州进士尹世彩应为目前所知对马启西先生和伊斯兰教西道堂进行研究的第一位汉族知识分子。

Yin Shicai and A Biographg of Ma Qixi

In the last two decades, scholars both at home and abroad have made a number of studies on the Chinese Islamic Sect Xidaotang and its founder Ma Qixi from various perspectives.According to these studies, it is widely acknowledged that initial studies on Ma Qixi and Xidaotang were made in 1936 when Fan Changjiang, the famous journalist then, published The Northwest Corner of China.However, in this essay, the author argues that before Fan's research, a scholar of the ancient prefecture Minzhou (now it is Min County, Gansu Province) in the late Qing Dynasty, Yin Shicai, introduced in detail the life of Ma and the founding of Xi Daotang in his A Biography of Ma Qixi, from which it is inferred that Yin was the first Han scholar to study Ma Qixi and Xidaotang.
