明清江南运河城市坊刊通俗小说的特点

The Features of Popular Novels Printed by Publishing Workshop of Jiangnan Canal Cities in Ming and Qing Dynasties

The Jiangnan canal cities, replaced Fujian Jianyang, became the national center of publishing workshops, as well as popular fiction, after the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. The quantity and quality of popular novels carved by these cities had very great progress, revealing the new information of popular novel development. For the publication engraving and printing, the publishing workshops paid attention to graphic quality to improve external ornament.
