摘    要:关键期假设是关于外语学习年龄问题的探讨。长期以来对此一直存在着争论而难以达成一致。研究者从多个方面进行的探讨都无法圆满的提出理论和实践的依据。本文通过理论和实证的讨论,倾向于认为较早学习外语能够促进学习的进程,提高语言水平。

Abstract:The critical period hypothesis is about the assumed age for foreign language learning. For a long time, there is no consensus on the issue. Many researchers try to study the problem from several aspects but all can' t give the theoretical and practical bases satisfactorily. Through the discussion from both the theory and the case study in this paper, the author is inclined towards the earlier learning of foreign language which could promote the process and improve the language proficiency.
