略论明代文官的夺情起复

夺情起复是丁忧制度的一个组成部分.明代文官夺情起复者主要有阁臣、尚书、侍郎等高级政务官、军务官、地方亲民官以及一些负有特殊使命的近臣.由于夺情可以合法地不守制,一些人便利用各种手段,营求夺情.无论是哪一种形式的夺情行为,都会引起伦理问题,加剧党争.

On the Mourning System of Civil Officials in the Ming Dynasty

Dingyou system stipulated the Civil Official to leave his duty and mourn for about three years when his parent died. But the emperor ordered the official (such as the member of a cabinet, minister, or vice minister) to hold his ground in some circumstances, which was called Duoqing Qifu (the mourning system). Duoqing Qifu gave rise to moral problems and political struggles as well as opportunist actions in the Ming dynasty.
