张荫桓在维新变法时期的作为及与康有为之关系

1885-1890年，张荫桓历任驻美国、秘鲁、西班牙公使。归国后，复供职干总理各国事务衙门。光绪皇帝经常召见张荫桓，聆听西方政事、风情。1895年，李鸿章下野，张荫桓任总理各国事务衙门大臣。参与处理大清国内政外交重大事情。维新变法时期，与康有为过从甚密。引康氏出入各种重要场合。荐与翁同铄等朝廷显贵相识，将康氏一步一步推到皇帝身边，成为戊戌变法领袖。

On Zhang Yinhuan's Role in the Reform Movement of 1898 and His Relationship with Kang Youwei

In 1885-1890,Zhang Yinhuan was appointed as a minister successively to America, Peru ana Spain. After his return, he served again in the P remier＇s Office of the foreign affairs, while the 19-yearold Emperor Dezong was in power. The Emperor often summoned Zhang and listened to his report of the Western political affairs and customs. In 1895, Li Hongzhang stepped down and Zhang was appointed as a minister in the Premier＇s Office, participating in the internal and foreign affairs. In the period of the Reform Movement,he had a close relationship with Kang Youwei, such as leading him to various important occasions, recommending him to the nobles as Weng Tonghe. Later on, Kang was recommended to the Emperor and became a leader of the Reform.
