Brief Discussion on Shanxi Commercial Education in Ming and Qing Dynasties

During Ming and Qing Dynasties, some Shanxi people took commerce as the fundamentals in life and pursuit, therefore, attaching importance to commercial education had become the most important choice by merchants in Shanxi during Ming and Qing Dynasties. They established new moral value, ethic education, and basis for choosing and cultivate commercial personnel, they lay great importance to the imparting of commercial knowledge and techniques. As a result, a rich atmosphere regarding commerce education had been formed to produce great numbers of commercial figures who enabled Shanxi to dominate Chinas business scope for about 500 years.
