无锡乡村工作讨论会评述

在内忧外患形势下召开的无锡乡村工作讨论会是民国社会史及江苏近代史上的大事。第三次乡村工作讨论会确定在无锡召开是因为江苏及无锡在乡村建设工作中举足轻重,这里集中着倡导"乡村建设"的重要机关及人物,乡村建设实验时间早,类型多,而且是合作交流的首倡地区。这次会议筹备更为细致,与会代表更为广泛,会议形式更为丰富多彩。会议进一步促进了乡村工作经验教训的总结、乡村建设者的联合、乡村建设运动与社会各界的联络,突出展现了江苏乡村建设工作的成绩,也为今天新农村建设提供了有益的历史启示。

The Important Meeting in the History of Village Construction in Jiangsu Province

The Village Construction Symposium held under the circumstances of domestic disorders and foreign invasions in Wuxi was a great event not only in the social history of Republic of China but also in the modern history of Jiangsu Province.The reason why the third Village construction symposium was determined to be held in Wuxi was as follows.For one thing,Jiangsu as well as Wuxi played an important role in the village construction and here assembled many agencies and very important persons that advocated the village construction;for another,this area was the first advocating area for cooperation and communication,and village experiments started earlier with many different types.The meeting was prepared carefully with widespread representatives and various forms.This meeting further promoted the summary of experiences and lessons of the village work,accelerated the cooperation of the village constructors,and advanced the communication between the village construction movement and the whole society.This meeting prominently exhibited the achievement of the village work in Jiangsu province,and provided a profitable historical inspiration for today's new village construction.
