| Abstract: | A Probe Into Bian Zhilin＇s Translation TheoryYAN Li（School of Economy,Sichuan University,Chengdu,610064 China,）Abstract： This article aims to have a detailed study on Bian Zhilin＇s translation theory and translation practice.As a translator,Bian Zhilin has made great achievements in both translation theory and translation practice.His study focused on literal criticism and Shakespeare＇s studies and he also plays an important role in Chinese translation circle.He has done a lot of translations including English verses and Shakespeare＇s drama,through which his theory on poetry translation ＂translating verse into verse＂ has been applied.Besides that,he also postulates other translation theories,such as ＂faithfulness,resemblance,translation＂,＂all-round faith＂ and ＂playing the sedulous ape＂ etc. |
