| Abstract: | the contemporary nationalism of China emerged with two theses, boomed with trilogy books as the symbol, and evolved with a series of events. The reasons for its booming is complex, which came from reflection of the domestic social thoughts in the 1980s and the ＂blue civilization＂ in the west, but also came from the re-think- ing of the humiliating history of the nation and the beautiful future of the nation. In addition, it was affected by the wave of the third nationalism, and was a result of the reviving memory of the history of nationalism. Besides, it was originated from fighting against the threat and humiliation of the new imperialism, and from the self-awareness of demonstrating national confident and aspiration for national rejuvenation. |
