英语、朝鲜语塞音的浊音起始时间（VOT）对比

塞音是所有语言都共有的辅音。然而,在不同的语言中却表现出不同的特征,这主要表现在清浊(voicing)、是否送气(aspiration)以及用力程度上(force)。从发音部位来看,英语和朝鲜语的塞音都可分为双唇音(bilabial)、齿龈音(alveolar)以及软腭音(velar)。但是,在发音方式上,英语的塞音可按清浊性分为清塞音(voiceless)和浊塞音(voiced);而朝鲜语的塞音则可按用力程度及是否送气分为紧塞音(forced)、不送气松塞音(unaspirated)、送气塞音(aspirated)。

A Contrastive Study of VOT of English and Korean Stops

Nearly all languages involve stops in their consonant inventories. But the realization of the stops varies from language to language. The agreed three distinctive features on the classification of stops are voicing, aspiration and force. In terms of articulation place, stops in both English and Korean fall into three categories: bilabial, alveolar and velar. In terms of manner, English stops are classified into voiced and voiceless while Korean into forced unaspirated, laxed unaspirated and aspirated.
