文化记忆是一套可反复使用的文本系统、意象系统和仪式系统,它以客观的物质文化符号为载体,以超越日常生活的距离为特征,其客观化的制度性表征是社会身份固化和群体认同的重要来源。在传统社会,文化记忆对维护王朝统治、稳定社会秩序、实现道德教化以及建立意义世界具有重要作用。现代社会改变了文化记忆的形式和载体,并使其具有了大众参与和市场化的特征,文化记忆的价值和功能开始受到挑战。作为古老文明现代转型的国家,中国的文化记忆研究具有极为难得的样本意义。

Cultural Memory in Historic Changes

Cultural memory is a set of reusable system of texts,images and rituals.It takes objective material and cultural symbols as its carriers,characterized by the distance beyond daily life.Its objective systematic characterization is the main resource of the stabilization of social status and group identity.In the traditional society,cultural memory plays an important role in maintaining the dynastic rule,stabilizing the social order,realizing the moral education and making the meaning of the word.Modern society has changed the forms and carriers of cultural memory,and made it characteristic of public participation and market orientation,encountering the challenges from its value and functions.It is suggested that,as a country with ancient civilization transforming into a modern society,it has an extremely rare sampling-significance to study cultural memory in China.
