试析英国都市化进程中解决社会问题的尝试

Analysis of the try for solving the social problems during urbanization in Britain

During industrialization and urbanization, a series of new social problems occurred in Britain. For a long time, urban area was a hotbed of ever-worsening social and environmental problems. Eventually those social problems had grown so grave that the further development of cities and even the sustainable development of industrialization were obstructed. From the 18th century till the middle of the 19th century, britain started to try to solve the social problems in cities. Before the beginning of the 20th century, the achievements of all the social reform were extremely few, but those efforts showed the preliminary progress of the political democratization in britain.
