The myth of Yi has undergone enormous changes in terms of its configuration and meanings due to constant revisions by the later generations.Consequently,the myth has grown increasingly indistinct and inanimate with regard to its primary form to the extent of stagnation and demise.However,its diversifications of configurations and meanings are found in succeeding literary works as sources of materials and inspirations in the course of its evolvement over the time.In this sense the myth has been given a sort of rebirth in literary works ages to come.
