| 摘 要： | 奥尼尔批判地继承了传统悲剧 ,在深受古希腊悲剧、莎士比亚悲剧等传统悲剧影响的同时 ,又在许多方面做了大胆的改变和突破。在悲剧成因上 ,他的悲剧主人公的命运不能简单说是天命或性格造成的 ,而是心理学、生理学和社会学意义上的悲剧 ;在悲剧主人公选择上 ,他突破了传统悲剧主人公主要是神、国王、大将、王子或者公主的事实 ,塑造了众多的普通人 ;在剧作主题上 ,他的悲剧主题更为错综复杂 ,人物性格更为矛盾多变
