| Abstract: | We shoule connect the appearance of ancient editors with the emergence of ancient formal books. Confucius is the first editor in Chinese history. The compiling characteristics of ancient Chinese editors he its historical limits and division of social work. It＇s shown in the form of editing, revising, and explaining, which aie closely connected and go simultaneously. |
